What is the price of tiles per box in Ranchi?
A box of 2×4 ft is ₹688 (2 pieces, 16 sq ft, ₹43/sq ft) and a box of 2×2 ft is ₹720 (4 pieces, 16 sq ft, ₹45/sq ft). Large-format anti-skid 6×3 ft is ₹2,340 a box and 6×4 ft ₹2,700.
How many tiles come in a box, and how much area does it cover?
A 2×2 ft box holds 4 pieces covering 16 sq ft. A 2×4 ft box holds 2 pieces, also 16 sq ft. The large-format 6×3 and 6×4 boxes hold 2 pieces covering 36 sq ft. Always order about 8–10% extra for cutting waste and future breakage — matching a batch a year later is usually impossible.
What is the tiles price per square foot?
From ₹43 per sq ft for 2×4 ft glossy and ₹45 for 2×2 ft. By type: glazed vitrified ₹44, double-charge vitrified ₹46, full-body vitrified ₹50, and large-format anti-skid ₹65–75. To get a box price, multiply by the coverage — 16 sq ft for the 2-foot sizes, 36 for the 6-foot ones.
Do you lay the tiles?
No — we are supply only. We sell the tile at the Namkum counter and you arrange your own mason or contractor for laying, adhesive and grouting. We say this up front because it changes your budget: get a laying quote alongside our ₹43–₹75/sq ft material rate. We also do not supply adhesive or grout.
What is the minimum order?
One box. No inflated minimums — take a single box home, lay it out in the actual room and see it in your own light before you commit to the whole floor. That is genuinely the smartest ₹688 you can spend on a tiling job.
Vitrified or ceramic — which should I buy?
Every tile on our rate board is vitrified, which is the right answer for a floor — it absorbs almost no water and takes traffic. The choice within vitrified is the one that matters: glazed at ₹44 for pattern range, double-charge at ₹46 for a deeper wear layer, full-body at ₹50 where a chip must not show white. DEV: confirm whether ceramic is stocked.
What size tile suits my room?
Bigger tiles mean fewer joints and a room that reads larger, so 2×4 ft for halls and bedrooms — and it is also the cheapest per square foot at ₹43. Use 2×2 ft where you need to work around awkward corners. The 6×3 and 6×4 large formats are anti-skid, so they belong in bathrooms and balconies rather than a living room. Bring your room measurements to the counter and we will work out the box count with you.
Why is anti-skid more expensive than glossy?
Because it is a different tile, not just a different finish — thicker at 10 mm, larger format at 6×3 or 6×4 ft, and textured through the face. At ₹65–75 against ₹43–45 for standard glossy, it costs more, but a bathroom floor is the one place where a slip is a real injury. Do not economise there.
